Vanessa is the co-founder of Stepping Stone and has worked almost a decade in social enterprise. Vanessa and her partner, Hannah Costelllo, were awarded Australia's Local Hero for 2025 for their work at setting up and running Stepping Stone.
Stepping Stone is a work integration social enterprise in Canberra that provides employment and training to marginalised migrant and refugee woman through their vegetarian cafes and catering services.
